I’ll give that lady a lot of credit for stepping into it and having the fortitude to put that guy down but holy shite, both the cops incompetent. I may not be an expert but that was a frightening level of incompetence

In the end, justice was served. I tend to agree with Boston911 however in his statement. The video alone is not conclusive evidence that all actions were justified.
I am very pro police, am POST certified and employed in law enforcement, having been on scene of multiple police officer involved shootings when they occurred (SWAT).
If you simply watch the video with no other supporting information, there are questions that could be asked to question if the cops actions were justified.
While the guy is a horrible person, his earlier actions do not give cops or civilians the right to shoot him for his prior actions even though some could justify it as a rightful response. We are not allowed to be judge, jury and executioner after the fact.
When confronted, the perpetrator appeared to be unarmed. (I think gun was found across the street, IIRC). Lethal force is not justified at that time.
The male cops tactics could be questioned, however that is not part of the female cops action.
The perp did engage the male police officer. The female cop has to be able to articulate what she saw or perceived and explain how her actions were justified because she was in fear of great bodily harm or death, for herself, partner or public, every time she pulled the trigger.
The law has no emotion. How well she can articulate her actions compared to the video, will decide justification.
I hope it turns out well for her.
My point is that some actions of the cops could be questioned and should be (no matter the color / gender of the cop).
The investigation should have one goal and that is to get the conclusion correct.
