polls show people everywhere want more police, not less. Regardless of race btw
The only poll that matters is the one on election day, and the idiots vote for the people who flatly state they hate the police and detest law and order. It doesn't matter what they respond to some opinion poll. If you're too stupid to not take your leaders' words and actions at face value, you deserve what you get.

The only problem I have with this is that he didn't organize a walk out with more officers.
I hope every cop quits so New Orleans can get what it deserves.

frick Latoya's puppet, Shaun Ferguson. Let his dumb arse waste more time pandering about how they won't enforce abortion laws while half the force quits on his pussy arse. Like he really needed to comment on that.

It’s still unclear, however, when U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan plans to release the department from court oversight. In April, Morgan projected a phase-out to begin in June. That timetable has passed with no public action.
Why won't this fricking judge end the Consent Decree already??
You want to blame someone for out of control crime and hamstrung police, blame U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan!

See what NO and BR Police look like in 10 years with the quality of people they are now employing. Corruption will be as out of control as the crime.

You reap what you sow...
Keep electing imbeciles to the mayors office and appointing incompetent dipshats as police superintendent and this is what you eventually will get. The cycle will continue b/c ignorance breeds ignorance.

The mayor and the city leaders abandoned the police force a long time ago

Can you blame him? Who wants to be a cop in a bigger city that's ran by democrats and has a large black population? Same thing here in Atlanta, APD is down over 400 officers (over 20% of the total force) since the 2020 Summer of Love and Peace and the Rayshard Brooks (justified) shooting.

Guy deserved to be thrown under the bus.
Don't like your job? Give two weeks notice like a real professional.
Going home mid-shift? Stupid move.

There are plenty of other jobs where your life is under threat, but there are very few others where your life is under threat AND the very people that are supposed to help you do your job are actively undermining you.
The mayor, the police chief, the DA - they all want the city to burn itself down. Officers quitting helps them accomplish that goal.

I guess Teedy read this thread as there is only one downvote on the OP. That stupid bitch.

Normally, yes.
A night cop in NOLA? I don’t blame him.
Are you a beat cop in NOLA in the night shift?
I’m just trying to determine your level of relatedness to his circumstances.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.
