I'm glad those traffic cameras are doing their job--keeping motorists safe so New Orleans' finest can get tough on real crime.

Really????? Prove me wrong......... You can't. But I won't go to New Oreleans because the city has changed so much. It's a shame that a city like that gets taken over by gangs. It's almost everywhere.

I'd like him to compare his NOLA experiences over the years as well. Like how the mid 90's was with crime compared to now.

So glad I'm moving back to BR from NOLA today. This city is fun for a weekend, but frick living here. BR may not be fun, but at least the bad parts are completely separate from the good parts. In NOLA it's like every million dollar neighborhood backs up to the ghetto, and the entire city is infested

I know the Nola natives in this thread will shite on this but the city clearly has a big fricking problem and it won't be solved until they fix the leadership crisis they have going on down there. New Orleans needs to look into the policing strategies that Rudy Giuliani set out for New York in the 90s and really turned it into a war on crime and it worked and crime decreased and the city was safer as a result.

Broken Windows policing is racist and profiles is what the NAACP and ACLU will say.
Other problem is residents here aren't smart enough to elect the right people. Further, it will never work here because NOLA is not NYC. Politicians here do not have the intellectual capacity to understand NYC.
