Lakeview is fine too but also pricey and full of potholes
And this a-hole.
LINK
ProjectNOLA has linked this vehicle to unusual string of auto burglaries that have occurred in the Lakeview area since March. Although the perp has been very careful to keep his body shielded from view of cameras, it appears that the driver of this vehicle is targeting areas where moms may temporarily leave their purses in a parked vehicle outside a daycare center or school. When seeing an opportunity, the driver quickly enters a parking lot, parks directly next to the target vehicle, and immediately breaks the window in effort to steal a purse. We've watched this happen in broad daylight, between 9~10am, as other parents were nearby tending to children. Additional video footage suggests that the perp MAY reside around the area North of the 610 near Canal Blvd. Both the NOPD 3rd Dist and the LCPD are investigating. SPECIAL REQUEST: If you are aware of similar instances outside of Lakeview please kindly let us know. We also have ProjectNOLA video of the similar burglary outside St. Dominic, but it involved a different vehicle.

You mean like killing or relocating all the homeless and murdering many of the drug kingpins?
You have a problem with that policy?
Not at all

And no I'm not a NOLA apologist. The crime sucks and we need to do more to stop this scum.
Oh bullshite. You jump into every single thread like this with the same "but the 90s!" line. Yes we know. Crime was bad in the 90s. So what? And we also know that much NOLA crime is unreported.

Just like grandpa jake and aunt Velma you pussies watch the news all day and are scared of your own shadow. LOL
12 violent robberies in a day. In a city that isn't very big. Some of it in tourist areas. It's embarrassing and, yes, scary.

Ever since the city was empty post Katrina, New Orleans has turned into a turf war of rival gangs and its only gonna get worse... I will NEVER go to New Orleans again... To unsafe... Plus If I did I would take my gun and kill a bunch of gang members cause they think they OWN the city....................
Shut up PJ you have no clue what you are talking about but you love hearing yourself talk gibberish for some reason lmoa... It's like you're talking sports again

Lakeview is a cool neighborhood. But considering the crime and roads, it's way too expensive. There's a lot of property crime there and it seems residents are on edge about the crime. My best friend who lives there (and had his car stolen from his driveway) had a gun pulled on him by his neighbor one night.

Chicago is a huge piece of shite right now but its mostly local on local stuff vs what nola has going on.
It's been years since I've been to Chicago, but unless things have changed it's only the south side that's bad. And it's real bad. But it's easy to avoid. I think you can have a splendid time there or life there and not be affected by crime just by staying out of the south area.

Actually I felt safest in NOLA post Katrina. New Years Eve 2005, my friends and I parked on Elysian Fields by the river and walked to the Quarter. Safest I ever felt walking through the Marigny. Now, no way in hell. City was much safer when Katrina flushed all the trash out of here. Unfortunately, it must have flushed it upstream, because it all came flowing back down into the gutter once the "productive" members of New Orleans came back. By productive, I mean all the uneducated, ignorant gun toting thugs.
New Orleans, Ignant and Lovin' it. Culcha yo!

Why don't you go walk through there at night tough guy? Not just Frenchman street, but go walk through there all the way to Elysian Fields. Then come back and run your mouth jackass.

Wait what?
I walked from Marigny Brasserie on Frenchman all the way up Elysian Fields to Galvez then over to Spain just the other night.
God some of y'all are such pussies

I've walked from Frenchmen to Elysian Fields countless times at night. What's there to be afraid of? North of St. Claude is iffy but that's a couple of blocks away.

Democrats really know how to manage a city.
We aren't bitching about them in Colorado.
I miss the hell out of Nola, I love the city. I had ton of fun drumming in and watching parades. I've even drummed with the Wild Tchoupitoulas, and still have an open invitation with them for events. And it sucks to know how bad things have gotten. It's been almost a couple years, and things have only gotten worse.
I've walked all around most of these areas at hours of the night. To see that many robberies in Frenchmen is insane. Around 09-11/12, there'd be tons of people down there at all hours between three dozen plus bars, there was no visible police, and there wasn't much violence or robberies. Just local bouncing between music clubs, and the occasional cool tourist that hated Bourbon St.
