New Orleans needs to look into the policing strategies that Rudy Giuliani set out for New York in the 90s and really turned it into a war on crime and it worked and crime decreased and the city was safer as a result.

You mean like killing or relocating all the homeless and murdering many of the drug kingpins?

This is what New Orleans really needs. Sadly it will never happen as feelings are more important than safety in today's society.

Plus If I did I would take my gun and kill a bunch of gang members cause they think they OWN the city

Hey, that sounds like premeditated murder, PeeJ.

So glad I'm moving back to BR from NOLA today. This city is fun for a weekend, but frick living here. BR may not be fun, but at least the bad parts are completely separate from the good parts. In NOLA it's like every million dollar neighborhood backs up to the ghetto, and the entire city is infested

That's what Ole Metry is for. A short cab ride away from the fun and isolation from the tomfoolery.

And if you're not expecting children any time soon, the WHD is very safe and right in the middle of everything.

Both Ole Metry and the WHD are obviously pricey, doe.

To be fair, nothing good usually happens after 1 A.M. if you are still out and about in a major city.

So people arent allowed to work? This is the problem with people's mind set.

It shouldn't matter what time it is.

You should be able to be out anytime you want with reasonable expectation that law enforcement would do their job.

Their job is to find and arrest suspects AFTER they have committed crimes, LMAO at anyone that thinks the police can protect them.

I'd like him to compare his NOLA experiences over the years as well. Like how the mid 90's was with crime compared to now.

And there it is. "It was worse in the 90s!" As if that matters. And the crime in the 90s was, if I recall, less widespread than now. Stay out of the projects and you're ok. Either way, the crime drop is due mostly to abortions but the robberies are out of control right now.

the cultcha defenders are pretty funny. All of the U.S is basically safer than it was in the 90s. Nola is still a dangerous city. The problem with Nola is the locals have no problem killing tourist. Chicago is a huge piece of shite right now but its mostly local on local stuff vs what nola has going on.

Shut the fck up please. The 90's was the worst it's ever been.
Just like grandpa jake and aunt Velma you pussies watch the news all day and are scared of your own shadow. LOL

And no I'm not a NOLA apologist. The crime sucks and we need to do more to stop this scum.

But see that's my issue with NOLA. Two areas of the entire city are pretty sure to be safe and away from the undesirables. In BR, all I have to say is just about anywhere south of I-10

Who's comparing NOLA to BR?
I sure see a lot of shite about Gardere and places right north and south of LSU for your point to be valid.

Just like I wish we could bulldoze some of the projects, I wish like hell the area right north of LSU could just be transformed overnight

There are a lot of areas in New Orleans that should be nice. Some neighborhoods are filled with abandoned houses that allow for the criminal element to thrive.
