Why in the hell would you leave your keys in the car? Frick that.

I'm afraid something bad happened with the baby, and the 13 year old is running scared.

Certainly could be, but then that would be weird for them to say the baby is in extreme danger. IMO, if the girl was scared of that, she drives off and goes home or to report it to someone. It takes a brave 13 year old to still a car, even if someone is trying to sexually assault her.

I guess another thing is maybe the mom was letting it happen to the 13 yo, so the 13 yo saw her opportunity and GTFO while she could. A weird situation all around.

Regardless, I hope they find the kids safe.

Because you don't leave an infant in a car without air condition obviously.

That's another good point and certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

It was sunny and 77 in ATL today, likely warmer in Macon.

OP: looks like there was only 1 kid in the car, person writing the article didn't proofread

clean candy stains off his 4-year-old son’s clothing

When he came back out of the store around 12 p.m., his car, his 4-month-old son, and the 13-year-old girl were gone.

Also, what kind of candy is someone giving a 4 month old?

didn't see that earlier.

The stolen car, along with the 13-year-old and the baby boy was found at the Days Inn by Wyndham, located at 3950 River Place Drive.

Both the baby and the 13-year-old are unharmed.

The article was edited after I post the link. The original article was published when they were still missing. Instead of posting a new updated article, they just updated the old one with the same link.

Well played!

As to OP, kids are so lazy these days. Back in the day we were boosting cars at a much younger age and you had to know how to Hotwire it.

The way the article was originally written, it said there was a 4yo child AND a 4mo infant, and the dad took the 4yo child into the store to clean him, leaving the 4mo and the 13yo in the car. The claim was never that a 4mo AND 4yo was kidnapped, the claim was that the infant was kidnapped, because dad was in the store with the 4yo. That may still be true. But, this particular news site in ATL, while "#1" is notoriously inaccurate.

Can someone explain to me why they released the name of a 13 year old in this case?

Does that lend to they're going to try as an adult? I thought they usually don't release names of minors?
