Qualified immunity is going to strike again. It all balances on what a reasonable LEO would do.

The courts have progressively lowered that bar every time something stupid happens, and continue to accommodate the LEO, as if all stupidity is now reasonable and expected, and the suit goes no where.

My question is why taxpayers continue to fund these mistakes.

Well, there are some very real things that have come down the pipe since the days of Mike Brown protests.

Even women coming out the military are not wanting to be officers. What used to be a situation where there were actually college degree women that went into law enforcement to either just do that or use it as a stepping stone into federal jobs are not happening anymore.

So then, the situation has come down to departments having no choice but to greatly reduce standards in female hiring. And not for good reason either. They could legit answer why they have to but then you get to the hurt feelings and that’s something that is not gonna happen.

If mainly, the only type women that you can find and hire are legit lowest of the low fruit hires, plenty of women failing in the line of duty is gonna happen much more frequent.

The Obama years of law enforcement may have had somewhat of a half relevant approach but the attempt to defund everything and push victim narratives harder was the worst thing that could have happened
