And if you know anyone associated with the NOPD, they make great efforts to not properly report all things in the system that should be reported. There's plenty technicalities that allows them to code it to something less severe or not at all or classify as a false report.

all these people are in this thread complaining about New Orleans politicians being concerned about climate change, and I agree to the extent that there is nothing the New Orleans mayor or city council can do regarding climate change, and yet crime isn't going to cause the GoM to swallow the city.

reading is fundamental.
New Orleans politicians need to be more concerned about problems they can solve, such as violent crime, than ones they cannot like climate change. no amount of solar panels or whatever else Mitch wants to do in the city is going to fix that problem.
but saying they shouldn't also be concerned about the city sinking into the sea and the causes behind it is foolish.

Most of those numbers are likely fudged, outside of murder. No way in hell robbery and burglary are down when violent crime and murder are shooting up so high.

Stop fake caring like you really care about the murders. They ain't killing y'all or your kids, they are killing each other.
The only time y'all care is when some Out of towner gets jumped in the quarter. They is no real concern for the crime unless the crime starts leaking into old Metairie or some other wealthy neighborhood. And most of the violent crime is contained with in the bad 'hoods.

Actually even the Murder numbers are fudged as the NOPD will classify some murders as "unclassified deaths" which is why the "Unclassified Death" numbers are now reaching all time highs.
