Talked with a Gretna cop, Gretna PD and JPSO are and have been prepared to repel any and all attempts of making it across the bridge.

Same. They aren’t expecting it to start across the river though...

Are those people still trapped on the bridge from last night? They were awfully pale. I hope they brought their sunscreen.

That will not go well for them.

JPSO would be the holy grail in terms of forcing police to stand down. Actually I'm surprised Antifa isn't shipping more troops down here to try and do just that. Either way, I know JPSO would be ready to rumble.

It's a trick to send authorities to the bridge and Dome. They're going to Jackson Square and to burn down the Cathedral, museums, and french quarter.

Those horses are amazing to watch in action.

There was a video posted here a while back where a mounted cop had a GoPro on his chest chasing a guy through the French quarter I believe. It's one of the coolest POV videos (hehe I know) I've seen. The way he was able to move through those crowded streets at speed was awesome.

Just watch. They’re going to try to take down the Andrew Jackson statue during these protests.

nope and you can bet NOPD will have the mounted division out there and wouldnt be surprised if the LSP are out and about.

they have no idea who they are fricking with between all the local law agencies.

Bring in St Bernard as well

someone once asked me why they never have brawls at football games in orleans parish...... mounted police.... clickity clack of those hooves.. quells the uprising.

I wish they would block them on an on ramp then spend the rest of the night booking them as I am sure there are several charges that can be placed upon these idiots. Don’t have to haul them off just write them all tickets

The logistics of letting them do that even if NOPD wanted to are crazy. Close bridge to let a thousand people cross, risk possible confrontation to herd them off at the DeGaulle exit. Who knows where this unorganized group then goes in Algiers, which likely results in a confrontation with JPSO and Gretna at the parish line. Then the bridge has to stay closed for all of these people to stager back across. Aint no way it happens.
if only fisher was still intact..... JPSO and GPD would be the least of their problems.

.they also said something about the Jefferson Parish Sheriff Dept

Harry Lee stopped them in 2005

Harry Lee's daughter is now the Jefferson Parish President (of course she doesn't run the JPSO)

Also, a majority of the police force is black in NOLA.

I wonder how many major cities can say that.
