Nola is about a week from having a pretty major problem. Positive cases are starting to outpace bed space.

Unfortunately, BR cases are growing, too. We need bed space for our sick and injured, too. It sucks all around.

Uhhhhhhh, this ABSOLUTELY is junior high, ma’am.

ETA: FYI, I haven’t heard of any definitive plan to move patients to BR but I wasn’t at the hospital today. I probably would’ve got a few texts of that was being thrown around. Not saying it won’t happen but I think we’re a week or so out from making decisions like that.

Positive cases are starting to out pace bed space. So every positive case is getting a bed now?

They need to just get a cheap hotel and stay tf there for a few weeks. Much cheaper than an ER visit.

Three state parks available and surge locations for medical special needs have already been evaluated to fade the heat.

Of course not but we’re seeing patients that have to be admitted at an extremely rapid rate.

I haven't heard anything about moving patients to BR, but I have heard about them planning to make arrangements for the overflow of NOLA area hospitals. Someone I know who works for LDH claims NOLA will be out of space in less than a week.
