The facts in that article paint a picture that the NOPD is doing nothing wrong from a racial standpoint. Hell, 57% of the officers are black.

I was more likely to get stopped when i drove my beat up car with speakers in the rear view window as a 16 year old thuggin it up.
You can't expect to drive a car that is popular with criminals and dress like a criminal, and not expect to get stereotyped as a possible criminal. I know i was as a 16 year old. Then i grew up and started acting and dressing like a normal member of society.
Hell i blatantly ran a red light twice in the last 4 years, with a cop directly behind me. One didn't even pull me over, just flashed his lights at me and passed me up. The other pulled me over and didn't right a ticket. Had i been 16 i probably would have gotten multiple tickets and my car searched.

If blacks aren't more responsible for crime in New Orleans, then NOPD is creating crime. #Woke. So, if NOPD stopped profiling, black crime would decrease dramatically.
That's essentially the other side of the coin of that guy's argument.
I think people have trouble coming to grips with it because they think that admitting that blacks commit more crime means that there is something inherently wrong with black people which makes them inferior to non-blacks, and that's just not true.

What percentage of the crime committed in NO is done by black people. Just curious if the number is about the same as the percentage of people stopped.
