NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a likely range of 13 to 19 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which 6 to 10 could become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 3 to 6 major hurricanes (category 3, 4 or 5; with winds of 111 mph or higher). NOAA provides these ranges with a 70% confidence. An average hurricane season produces 12 named storms, of which 6 become hurricanes, including 3 major hurricanes.

August: "Okay, this is our revised prediction."

I just want to know if they plan on opening the Morganza Floodway with that many storms.
And if not,why not ?
They should be opening now.

Exactly what they do with the cone. Every year 1 or 2 hurricanes hit a place that wasn't in the original cone. I've always said if the cone can move then it's useless. When I was little the cone was the cone. It was steady. Didn't move. The hurricane could move around inside the cone but it was limited to that area. These days the cone is just a suggestion and the hurricane can end up wherever it wants.

I’ve got a bad feeling about this year. I think we take Atleast one up the gut at NOLA and one direct Punta Cana.

What if one hits Tubberville's residence in Florida? It could be good for him, as he won't have to answer questions about why he lives in Florida anymore.

Their projections are usually about as useless as all those Corona charts. We all know they were not even close to the projections of the doom and gloom that caused all this economic collapse and unemployment. I wish they would charge all those so called experts on epidemiology for the harm they have caused to our country

This is about the equivalent of predicting your favorite NBAbasketball team will score between 90- 120 points in the next game
