That wont even work.
No shite. All I can see is idiots up there with bricks waiting for vehicles to drive under the bridges so they can toss them at passing cars, or worse yet, motorcyclists.
Seems like the planners really didn't think things out.

if it keeps pedestrians off the interstate I suppose it will help prevent fatalities and interstate closures.
Compare those fatalities to the ones that will occur from hoodlums throwing stuff at cars from those bridges, and shooting cars.

If they’re anything like the ones I see in BR, then there shouldn’t be anything to worry about.

About the same impact as midnight basketball and poetry slams.

They should honestly just bulldoze the East and let the wetlands take it back. It would honestly solve a lot of the city's problems in regards to finances, flooding, hurricane protection, etc.

This notion gave us Nagin's famous Chocolate City speech.

It’s a fine idea IF you gentrify the shite out of that area with the quickness

Easier to make it to drug deals and get away after.

Maybe, maybe not, but it used to be commonplace to see fools ride their bikes along the shoulder. Also kids running across the interstate between Read and Crowder. For years going back to the 90s.

Give me a rough number of citizens who you believe would need to see this as a necessary useful option to justify a $60 million expenditure?

Wouldn't want the thieves, dopers, and whatnot hit by cars. They are our future.
