Looks like chimes street and all up and down highland had a takeover this past weekend.

Lots of rumors this is coming to a gameday near you based on the online chatter.

Gamedays already feel unsafe in areas. It’s such a tragedy.

If they start cracking down on weed, it’ll scatter some of the riff raff. And I’m pro legalization in the privacy of your own home.

They definitely need heavier police presence. People scatter like roaches.

Maybe a law about showing your underwear in public would work.

Is this because of that hookah shop on Chimes?

How is this possible? I thought they made smoking weed within 2,000 feet of campus a felony.

I saw the city pulled the alcohol permit for that hookah place and the owners of Murphys were trying to shut it down

Well they will continue to do it after games unless the city police and LSUPD make a point to not allow it.

I don’t know how the cops allowed a whole block to just be taken over like this.

That impedes traffic through a busy corridor.

The governor and Rousse need to get this shite under control. It’s clear Baddun Ruhge leaders aren’t willing to do anything about it. LSU and LSU football specifically are far too important to continue to allow this shite to take place.

Did you see the direction they're running? It's not towards campus. Those are NOT students.

I don’t really understand why they enjoy standing around parking lots so much

Its a shame because Northgate is a really cool area. I wish the LSU students still hung out there and move this circus to Alvin Dark. Seems like businesses and developers are abandoning northgate

There is definitely going to be a deadly shooting that takes place at one of these hostile takeovers. The Northgate area was never safe and adjacent to the 'Bottom" What a fricking ghetto wasteland it has become.

There were shots fired on campus during both the Florida and South Carolina games. Landry responded by closing "Unity Field" (which I didn't even know existed until last season) and beefing up security. There were no issues at the last 3 home games.

We'll see if that attention to police presence is back at the Clemson game. If not, and people who want to tailgate and attend the game start to feel unsafe, you'll start to see a quick decline

But the photos my kid sends me are completely different. I wonder who's running the Instagram page at LSU.

These Chimes clubs just need to be smarter:

1. Must have collared shirts. No hats allowed.
2. Cover charge - $5 with student ID, $20 without student ID.
