Nissan hasn't given the Frontier a body update since 2005, so basically over 16 years now. Most other trucks have gone through 2, 3, maybe even 4 body updates in that time, the Frontier hasn't had a single one. Blows my mind that Nissan does this, their 370Z sports car hasn't been updated since it first came out in 2009.

I traded in my Mazda CX-7 3 years ago with 298000 and it was still going strong. That was the most I personally ever put on a vehicle.

I got a 2000 1500 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8 engine. I have 118,000 miles on it. I also have a A.R.E camper shell installed on the bed of the truck.

Looks like they average around 63k sold a year since 2005. The Tacoma has done around 2.7x that amount in the same time frame.
I think Nissan is fine with moving that many units knowing they won't ever catch the competition so no point in sinking a bunch of R&D money is an already proven platform.

Sad that his new one looks identical to his old, minus color. Nissan has put no money into updating the Frontier. I guess, mechanically, they don't need to, but the cosmetics, and technology, are very dated.

Just under 110k miles on my '05 Frontier. Little fricker is still going strong.

Reminds me of a friend of mine who bought a fleet model truck because he wanted something "stripped down".
When he moved to California he paid nearly $1k to register it because the state said it was a commercial vehicle. Had to go weight it and everything.

It absolutely will. It is the same damn truck. I went test drive one about six months ago and it was like stepping into a time machine. It rides like crap but is bullet proof.

The Frontier is very cheaply built, but it has an old school V6 engine that sounds terrible but is actually very reliable. Nissan doesn't put the CVT in their trucks too.
There's been 1,000,000 mile Tundras, Express Vans, Silverado HD's, Econoline (Ford), and Frontiers before. Also several Hondas and Mercedes-Benz products and some older Volvos.
Chevrolet Silverado 2500 - 1,000,000 miles
Toyota Tundra 5.7L - 1,000,000 Miles
