Dealership near my house has the 24 pro-4x under $40k while every other midsized truck is still going over $40k. It's the last midsized with a v6, so I'm definitely interested and I'm going to have to buy a new vehicle this week. Any of you baws own one - love it or hate it?

It has the turning radius of a tractor trailer.

Just wild how much they've increased in 7 years or so. I paid 32k for a F150 XLT crew cab in 2017.

0.00% chance I buy one of the 24 models. First year of a new engine/tran combo - no thank you. I got burned on that a couple of decades ago. Total lemon.

Nissan is badass. Super strong v6. No hybrid/turbo, just good ole displacement. Nissan is unsung for how reliable they are. Idk the current trajectory of the new frontiers for recalls or issues, but I'm a huge fan.

I had one and sold it at 200k. The guy that bought it uses it daily, pulling a trailer for work. I replaced it with a 4wd, double cab, Tundra. The tundra gets a little worse mileage )aboot 4 mpg less, but I like that truck. Get the bigger one.

I would never buy a mid size truck. Seems useless. If money is an issue look at a used 1/2 or 3/4 ton.

The current Tacoma is about the same size as a 2006 Tundra

I’m a Toyota guy & I really like the simplicity of the Frontier. Front-end looks great too.

I sell them. Great little truck. Find a 23 model though and you'll save even more due to dealer holdback. Interest rates are great through Nissan. 2.9-5.9%. Toyota isn't moving on price due to inventory and Nissan has the opposite problem. You'll get a lot more for your money compared to a Tacoma.

Turning radius is the only issue.

I had an 05 that I took to 110k, and other than tires and oil, spent probably $1200 on maintenance. The interior was plastic AF. Perfectly fine truck otherwise.

But no, you don't actually need to buy a vehicle this week. Maybe by the end of May? Patience saves you money.

If you're talking about the 4x4 version, they're giving you the "starts at" MSRP of $39k (which changed to 41k after I clicked on it.)

They can go anywhere. Light, extremely reliable with long life so it can be handed down to the next generation (this should be factored in more when buying a vehicle), they definitely cost less than an equivalent full size, great torque and power ratio to the size, and they look pretty damn cool. They are anti jacked up F250’s for no reason which we should encourage as a society.

I have a 2008 4x4 that I now use as a third vehicle. Never had any problems. That said, it only cost me $17K brand new. Wouldn’t even consider $40K.
