Couple of other quick things of note:

Shreveport just started Uber. So Uber.

All of the recommendations I mentioned are on the Shreveport side of the river. Casinos and other things are on the other side which seem to be more chain's etc.

Downtown Shreveport felt like a ghosttown when I was walking to Noble Savages. I have no clue if I was ever in danger, but it didn't feel like it. (i would still uber if I were you with your wife)

Also this may be of use: LINK

Did they? We went in January and it was just Lyft.

2 casinos are in Shreveport. El Dorado and Sam's town.

Nah you're fine if you're on Texas street.

Uber started mid Feb.

Granted when I was catching a ride from the Remington to the airport the closest car was already at the airport. Maybe things will pick up driver wise.

I wonder if they pick up in bossier. Drivers told me they could only drop off.

Chicago used to be a decent bar/club before Phoenix closed down. Once that did you got all of the degenerates from there.

The only thing it was good for was knowing where the hot dog man was late at night.

also a new little bar with good interesting beer and cocktails to check out would be Bar Chord. You can order food from Trejos next door. Same owners

thought he was murdered?

The owner murdered his wife. The owner had been the head chef initially but years back hired another guy who is head chef. That guy is still there, the former head waiter is now the owner.

ETA: Maybe it was girlfriend and not wife. I’ve got some friends that play music there, that’s the story they’ve told me on who took over the restaurant

Noble savage has good food and live music but is a bit pricy.

Great raft is worth checking out.

Definitely get pizza from Frank’s. Get the il diavolo specifically. You can thank me later.

All good mentions as always with this thread.

I'd also throw in Pizzarev. Great pizza, draft beer, and cool patio atmosphere.

I've been meaning to go since it opened. Finally popped my cherry last Saturday. Went back Monday night for dinner again.

It's good.

Avoid downtown bars. Go to the Horseshoe or El Dorado

If you want to get away from downtown, try Tejas on Line Ave. It has a great patio, food, and drinks.

yeah I'm a big fan of Pizza Rev. Actually enjoy their pizza more than Franks. Also helps its cheaper. Nice little outdoor patio area.
