I would highly doubt that the studies would be very reputable if done in such a short time
I would be willing to bet not a single one of those studies lasted much longer than 9 months!

As it relates to the vaccine Fauci didn’t misinterpret anything and not even hindsight has proven him wrong
All studies still to this day show it was extremely safe and did a great job of fighting covid 19
Fauci’s crimes lie with Covid 19 the virus itself
We agree in part and disagree in part. I appreciate ending on common ground.

that wasn’t directed at you, but thanks for clearing that aspect of the post up.

I also agree with you that the medical community that was in charge at the time and their reaction to the virus made a permanent irreversible dark mark we will all pay for down the road
Having quacks like RFK in charge now coupled with the medical community doubt is a direct response to the lack of trust

He should swing.

I do think COVID taught everyone a valuable lesson about letting experts speak straight to the public without someone interpreting. People like Fauci run into big problems with "researcher language," as you can see from these texts. "Theoretically" drinking water could kill you. We don't put a scientist in front of the microphone and have them say that, because they don't know how to dumb it down for the public.

It's sometimes hard to wrap my head around how stupid a lot of yall are.

Somewhere during all of that some expert came out and said all the planning and drills we did were almost immediately ignored and everyone came up with differing plans on the spot.
Kind of explains why it felt like we were making it up as we went.

Having idiots in legit charge of policy say if you get Covid you will die even 2 years into it was also fantastic

People are convinced there was breaking news today that Covid vaccines elevate the risk of miscarriages, with most saying 82% of pregnant women who get vaccinated have a miscarriage.
It’s quite sad

It’s just amazing that people like you think nobody should be punished or lose their jobs for the covid fiasco
Have any teacher union officials lost their jobs? What about officials at the state and federal level who locked down the country?
Why is it that ghetto trash like you think George bush shouldn’t be allowed to use the “I was given bad intelligence” excuse for Iraq, but covid officials are allowed to use the “we were dealing with a novel virus” excuse
Do you not understand that the botching of covid protocols has permanently eroded public health credibility? Good luck instituting lockdowns or masks mandates when a legit deadly pandemic hits next
And ghetto twits like you refuse to look in the mirror

You see, now you are moving to a strawman
This story is a massive nothing burger with Fauci. It’s ridiculous and shows nothing nefarious at all
That in no way means Fauci is innocent and should go unpunished and he and others didn’t massively frick up the Covid response

The reality was that a lot of people would get sick. A small population of that group would die. No different from the flu in a bad year, yet the mob mentality in politics, media, and human nature took over. It made the situation worse and left horrible taste in the mouths of non political middle America

Still doesn’t justify lockdowns

I'm still waiting for all the people that were going to die from taking the vaccine in a few years...
Any day now
The Monday morning QB from people like the OP is laughable. The whole thing was unknown at the time and people did have to sort of make up policies as it went. The idea there is this mass government conspiracy covering up some nefarious reasons when vaccine development spanned across the globe is so laughable.
These are the same people that say NFL games are fixed and all the power elites are in on it. The amount of people to stay quiet makes it impossible, but they lack critical thinking skills...

Most of the people who are pissed about this voted the same guy who was at the tippy top of the country back into his job after Covid was over so when people see that they kinda stop giving a frick about these type of arguments

The infection fatality rate of Covid is not even a blip on historical radar of previous pandemics
It wasn’t that long ago that diarrhea and TB (consumption) was killing large portions of Americans

In terms of medical advancement and standard of care might as well be two different worlds

This is a valid excuse up until summer/winter 2020.
You honestly think California officials and NY officials should be off the hook for locking down their people nearly a year more than European and Florida/Texas residents?

Ask anyone who worked inside a hospital for Covid. It was very real and very rare in terms of what was happening with capacity.
It was not going to be close to “just a bad flu year”. I think there should have been zero lockdowns, and I also think they manipulated a lot to make the virus seem worse.
But the deaths the first year or so would have absolutely been an outlier for modern America
So you had two things
1. One party wanted to lockdown to gain back control
And
2. Trump and the Republican Party was too scared to go full open because they know the death toll would have have been hard for the modern American to stomach
