What are you all doing for NYE? What’s out there for those around 40-ish? Anything other than just bars? Any recommendations for bars?

Drinking at home, cooking, and popping a few fireworks. Much less chance of a DUI that way.

I was thinking stay home, cook, a few fireworks, etc., would be my preference too.

Silent caroling has become a tradition for me and my family over the past 8 years or so on new years eve.

We make Czech open faced sandwiches, have a few beers, and just relax. We have two kids under 4 so once 9:30 comes around, we're tired as all get out

The same thing I do most nights.
Have a few drinks at home. Go to bed before midnight. Curse fireworks while I’m in bed.

We plan a dinner menu that’s more complicated and fancy than what we would cook on an average night and just cook and drink wine.
