The longevity and reliability is what makes the tundra popular. Same reason a lot of people are ordering a 5.0 and waiting 4 months to get it in so they’re not stuck driving an ecoboost
You haven't linked a single fact to backup any claim you have made in this thread. None. Toyota hasn't had a V8 engine on the Ward's Top 10 list in 20+ years. I'd put Nissan's VK56DE ahead of Toyota's 5.7 V8 for half-ton truck engines as an all around more refined and reliable engine.

Sorry, you seemed like you’d buy the smallest one possible.
No shock a clueless fanboi goes to dick jokes when talking about trucks.

Plus, that post is about why people buy vehicles. You think people are looking at displacement or features?
They look at everything. Your takes on half ton trucks are comically misinformed. But I just chalk it up to you deluding yourself to feel good about buying a boring gas guzzling truck that doesn't have the features all of its competitors have.
And for the record, I have a F150 Platinum with 102k miles on it that runs like new. I also have an Edge Sport with the 2.7 Ecoboost with 118k miles. Outside of a really stupid oil pan design that allowed for leaks prior to a TSB to fix it, the engine has been extremely reliable and very fuel efficient. I'd have no worries buying another one.

Not sure what's funny about that, but you've shown yourself to be all but illiterate when it comes to vehicles, so...

The Legacy Big 3 indeed have strong truck offerings, but Toyota is right up there with them. In fact, the Tundra has more American components than the Big 3 trucks do.

Maybe because you're an imbecile that doesn't know these things but Nissan makes great engines and have for decades. Been on Ward's list more than Toyota has certainly.

That’s why you don’t buy a 60-70k vehicle. I can’t believe people pay more than 45k for something that depreciates.
Value is relative. If you make $60k a year then spending $45k on a depreciating asset isn't smart unless it makes you money. If you make 10 times that a year and enjoy it there is no particularly high relative penalty for buying a $100k vehicle.
Your posts often have an anti-capitalist bent, maybe more correctly an anti-consumerism. What is the point of working hard in school and a career to live life like you could have without all that sweat equity?

Most people with Ford’s might be impressed with 102,000 miles.
But no one else will.

Nissan’s best engine is the new 3.8L VQ derived motor in the Frontier. I’d argue that it’s best in class. The 5.6 in the Titan isn’t all that good.

Sorry I can't magically add miles to it. Way to completely miss the point. No wonder you are obsessed with a shitty truck
There may be no cult more culty than the Tundra fanbois.

The world needs people to purchase these vehicles so that the rest of us can buy them on the secondary markets

My vehicle has appreciated over the past 3 years despite me putting 50k miles on it

Does everything have to have turbos and gas direct inject now?
I know, ok, boomer.

Can you give me your source that 20% of ecoboost engines are bad? Ignorant.

1) Because I can afford it
2) Because I want it
3) Because I want poors to criticize me for it.
If it weren't for people who spent money on things they don't need, the economy would grind to a halt.

so people wait months to get an inferior power plant?
I've owned both and I wouldn't care at all if they quit making the coyote because it is trash compared to the ecoboost for power, towing, fuel economy.
