You want people to call you dumb, this is how you get people to call you dumb.

Maybe for millionaires that can afford such things. F-35 pilot's helmet is $400,000 alone.

What I’m talking about could be found on a radio strapped to the back of a 1950s Army Jeep.

Nissan’s best engine is the new 3.8L VQ

You can call me whatever you like. Don't really give a shite.
I've owned both and hands down the Ecoboost is better in every aspect except sound which I don't give a shite about.

They added cylinder deactivation this year. Which may as well ruin the engine as far as I'm concerned.

The 15-21 Coyote is one of the best Ford engines out. The eco boost have their cool points but I can't read that with a straight face.

Interested to see how the Tundra turbo's play out. Just seems wrong to do that to a Tundra. Are they going to put turbos in the Tacos? That would be awesome.

Basically every continous duty diesel engine on the planet is turbocharged, many with multiple stages

Correct and continuous duty is great for a turbo. Turbos hate start and stop driving, turning the engine off. When the cooling oil stops flowing 6-8 times a day the turbo bearings will bake.

They had head gasket issues for a long time

That wasn't really a turbo thing, though. Seemed like a combination of a little too much bore and maybe the fact that the gasket is oriented vertically.

And all of them are mated to a CVT now.

Yeah, most of them are. Not sure where I stand on the CVT vs. frickton of gears question. Don't really want either.

A good turbo looks like Peppa Pig and pulls like Thomas the Tank Engine.
