I can’t believe they replaced the 5.7, probably the greatest gasoline engine ever put in a truck, with this bull shite

Weird seeing a brand new Tundra with the cab off for a major repair. Very Ford-esq.

Could you imagine if every time a Ford, Ram, Nissan or Chevy truck had a major issue it got a thread?

Chicken would have to start a truck problems board and it would be the busiest board on the site. The manufacturers make so many trucks a year. Some are going to have issues. Difference now is the cottage industry of truck reviews online and Youtubers that amplify the hell out of an issue.

Based on all the new Tundra reviews online, is it the most scrutinized truck release ever?

I put 150,000 miles on my first ecoboost and traded it in with no issues. They will last as long as they are taken care of just like anything else.

This is so dumb. 80% of people will have no problems with their ecoboost. That doesn’t mean it’s a good engine. People take care of their eco's and still have problems with them.

What's dumb is throwing out some arbitrary number like 20% of Ecoboost owners will have problems regardless of how they maintain the vehicle. That's not close to true.

Tundra baws still make up a very small percentage of truck owners, so I doubt it. I’d say the 6.0, 6.7, and ecoboost have all been more scrutinized in their time.

That absolutely happens, almost always from the Tundra fanbois.

I’m sorry you just bought what the salesman told you to buy, and didn’t know you were getting a pile of junk

Thanks, EPA.

The 5.7 was a gas hog by modern standards, a title basically every engine gets at some point in its life cycle.

I'm sure your right. I'm a Toyota Baw and the internet knows it. My google feed and ads are full of Tundra reviews from different sites and Youtubers.

The 5.7 would seem like nothing special if every competitor put 4.10 gearing standard.

The longevity and reliability is what makes the tundra popular. Same reason a lot of people are ordering a 5.0 and waiting 4 months to get it in so they’re not stuck driving an ecoboost

The domestic trucks last a very long time as well You Tundra fanbois are insufferable. Yall act like Toyota had the first truck last for a million miles. It's comical he delusions yall tell yourselves to justify why the Tundra sells so poorly relative to the competition.

Mine had the 5.0. Other than a leak the first week I owned it, very good engine.

A lot of military, and aircraft electronics have "tactile" controls, you can tell what the contol is set to, and change settings just by "feel", electronics in vehicles should be the same.

Maybe for millionaires that can afford such things. F-35 pilot's helmet is $400,000 alone.

I've actually had cash offers on the spot for it - it looks brand new.

It’s because people like you, who really don’t have a clue what they’re buying, or even the concept of turbos, transmissions, etc.

“This 2.7 ecoboost gets 23 mpg!? Well I’m sold” “I like the grill on the new Chevy trucks, I’m going to buy one!”

I don't own a 2.7 F150 or a new Chevy. Sorry you have to push lies to feel good about buying a subpar truck that does nothing better than the competition.

You got really offended when I laughed at the piece of shite ecoboost. Sorry, you seemed like you’d buy the smallest one possible.

Plus, that post is about why people buy vehicles. You think people are looking at displacement or features?
