On a golf trip with friends. One of our buddies pretends to ironically listen to her songs but he was playing the album as soon as it was released last night so we entertained it and picked on him. She’s gotten even raunchier

The music she put out from 2006 to about 2012 was meant for teenage girls. Now they’re all 25-40 something white chicks and it’s like a cult.

But she's entitled to her own beliefs, and freedom of speech to express that. Sounds to me like the parents did a bad job raising the kids if they so easily look up to a celebrity to form opinions of anything that actually matters in life.

Well yeah, that's why I said I don't really hate her as a person. She's free to express what she wants, but she certainly knows her main fanbase and their naivety and is trying to impress certain things on them either directly through her songs or through social media.
There's definitely a lack of good parenting in America that's a big part of the problem. If you're letting your young daughter listen to her wax poetic about Travis Kelce's johnson, you need to reevaluate your parenting.

I don't think she set out to "create an entire cult". I think you give her too much credit for being smart enough to do that.
More than likely, she was surprised (pleasantly) by the reaction and was smart enough to capitalize on it (with help from her management, I'm sure).
Kind of like a snowball rolling downhill that becomes an avalanche. At this point, nothing can be done to stop it.
And no surprise, either, that as she has aged, and gone through a billion romantic relationships, her subject matter has become more "adult".

Here to tell you that her fans LOVE this lyric! Hopefully you know what this song is about.
It's also a myth that she's writing and performing towards teen girls. Her older music was very much teen girl directed. I'd say through about her 1989 album. But she was 25 when that was released. Definitely since 2020, her music has just been what she wanted to do. Not particularly geared towards any audience.
