Just saw one of these unmarked and unmanned mobile units on West End. How is this legal? Don't they have to have a sign up warning you about a traffic camera ahead? What a joke. There will be so much to celebrate when Mitch is gone.

They need a way to make up for that budget deficit.

Lafayette has a few of them, and at first they were sneaky about moving them around. They have since gotten very lazy and put them in the same places.

I read the article. They are fair with the 10mph buffer on normal streets(School zone is 6mph).

speeding tickets are reasonable - you can not really speed on most of the shitty roads anyways

the red light camera tickets are the issue

I'm actually ok with that. Still not ok with a camera, but that's more in line of what most officers will get you for.

i mean, obviously you technically "could", but its not really a great idea on most of the roads around the city

especially 10mph over the limit

They don't have to pay health benefits and retirement for a speed van

Didn't they rule that these tickets are bullshite because no one is physically serving you with a court summons?

Yea, the roads will just destroy your car at 30-45 mph

I mean, is it not true? Besides maybe S Claiborne, what 35 would you ever find yourself exceeding?

I lived on Carrollton for nearly a decade, and I honestly got up to 45 zero times.

Just glad they're not on I10. That 10mph buffer doesn't mean shite there.
