Well, if the New Orleans restaurants fed up with the BS move to Jefferson, then people would want to eat in Jefferson.
but then you’d be in Jefferson.

It’d be like moving Rocky and Carlos to Mandeville. It just wouldn’t be the same even if they gave you too much mac with red gravy

Cantrell is so ghetto. Listen to her tone of language. Is that a hood rat, or not?

There are people, because of the mandate, that now feel more comfortable to go to the restaurant

This crowd for sure exists, but it's not a near big enough crowd to offset the business lost. The proof of that is being seen right now across the city...there's a reason resturant owners are screaming at any news outlet that will listen that they are hurting.

The worst part is that the smug uptown liberals still won’t get it.

I can't upvote this enough. The reason NOLA is in the shithole is not just due to ghetto hoodrats. Its the white, got everything handed to them on a silverspoon by their daddy liberals uptown! There is something seriously wrong with them.

Those shitting on JP food scene have no idea what they are talking about.

I’m aware there are good and great restaurants in JP, no argument from me. But saying JP has more and better traditional New Orleans style restaurants is nonsense.

You have friends coming from out of town for the first time

Let’s hear your 3 day eating adventure thru Jefferson parish. Breakfast lunch & dinner.

Don't eat breakfast, so don't really know. Dot's, Ruby Slipper,

Moe's, R&O's, Harbor Seafood

Kim Ahn, Mosca's, Desi Vega's

It's a bad look shitting on JP restaurant scene because it isn't on par with NOLA. Just a bad take.

But why if you don’t live there? It takes energy and emotional power to hate something. Did you get robbed or something the last time you were there?

Maybe ‘indifferent’ is the better word. I don’t get why people want the world to burn.

My source in the gov office (I say that seriously you can see some of the posts in “what will jbe say today” that were proven right for proof) have told me a very very high numbers of restaurant/bar owners have reached out to the gov office but they have basically said they won’t interfere. Which is idiotic IMO

That’s been the case during this whole Covid fiasco.

Equity will only be achieved when those bars and restaurants are replaced with wig shops and clubs.
