There are precincts in NOLA where less than 30% of people are employed.

It’s a sad state of affairs. I don’t know the solution.

I know the solution. Stop cradle to grave entitlements and stop incentivizing getting pregnant.

true but we would likely need many more incarceration facilities.

A friend of mine that worked for the city back in early 2000s said that anywhere you stood in new orleans you were never more than 100 feet from a rat.....

It’s obvious that most of you people have no idea about New Orleans. Perhaps your meager social stature prevents you from access to the real New Orleans. You’ve been to a gas station in the east but have never been to a private party uptown. You don’t even know HOW to find the finer parts.
well one thing common in third world countries... is a very small elite upper crust living very close to those living in squalor... fits much of uptown.

All of the NOLA white knights are the reason it will forever stay a complete dump. They are so butthurt by any criticism, they become defensive and do not see it for what it is.

Plus that “small elite upper crust” is nowhere near where it once was. Now you have cheesy ambulance chaser lawyers living in Audubon Place.

Ah, yes. "The City" is good because there are a few nice private homes in it.

If it is such a third world country, then why did you attend any of the National Championship games LSU played in the city.
