New Orleans from Oct 11-12, is there someting big happening that weekend?

Saints are on BYE that weekend, but all the hotels are booked up.

N.O. hotels seem to stay booked like crazy this time of the year. Prime convention/wedding/party season.
Oct. 4th weekend is a pretty tough one too.

My guess was the Bayou Classic, but that's 11/29 apparently.

The Katy Perry concert is on a Wednesday. Even if it were on a weekend, it would have very little impact on hotels. The hotels may not be sold out, but just may have a minimum night restriction for that weekend. I'd check online to see if that's the case, and if so, call them directly to see if the can waive it.

Small boutique hotel in the quarter. Good place to pass out in after a long night of hurricanes and hand grenades. If you are use to the 4 seasons or Ritz you will be disappointed.
