I'm so glad I no longer eat at fast food restaurants.

I mean they are now just marginally less expensive than traditional restaurants, with shitty quality and consistency with workers that have little regard for their employer.

What's not to like?

And don't forget that a pissed off disgruntled employee who feels underpaid is preparing your food. God only knows what they are doing to it.

They are the best for sure. Amazing what can occur when you have high standards at the corporate office and owner/operators who realize that they make more money when demanding great CS and maximum efficiency.

Don't know if you have QT Gas stations where you live but they are the same. You can't walk through their busy door without one of the 4-5 employees, or multiple, acknowledging you. If a line has more than two people, an employee jumps on the next register. In fact, they have 4 registers. Their clerks also get you rung up and out of the way before you can even say thank you. The most efficient store in America.

Currently only McDonalds, BK, and Wendy's participating. I wonder how long before these stores are totally automated and have no need for people other than repairs.

pretty sure if you're not in a union, striking means you are fired

And those only work because they are skilled and not easily replaceable.

These people are toast.

Of course, the way these jobs work, they'll be working at Wendy's on Wednesday and McDonald's by next Tuesday.

They'll be gone too. They have robots that builds cars, you think they can't program them to make a cheeseburger and fries?

Yesterday, I walked out of a McDonalds on my way home from Houston because it was so bad.

This wasn't in Winnie was it?

I stopped there on my way home sunday morning. I ordered 2 sausage biscuits and that is it. The lady that took my order still screwed it up

They also have young college kids working there that are actually nice to customers. Not unusual for a cute college chick to ring you up at the register.
