You are just pulling out the inside part. Smokers still have a choice. Just because it isn't inside, doesn't mean you don't have a choice. You said that non-smokers had a choice before. Go to a non-smoking bar or a smoking bar. Don't try and manipulate the scenario. Smokers can go to a non-smoking bar or a smoking bar. The only thing that has changed is where at in the bar you smoke. And don't try and say that if it is outside of the building, that it isn't the bar. The bar is the whole establishment, and this includes the outside part.

that's intellectual dishonesty
This thread has tons of that.

I thought this was America
Native American Casinos you can smoke because you are not in America.
So the "real America" is actually on Indian Reservations and not in America itself

No. My point is I don't give a particular rats arse about this one when there is a myriad of other laws that are far worse that have sat there for years but people put up with freely.
I would prefer total liberty in reality. Allow smoking allow all illicit acts and allow adults to be adults and businesses to do what they want. I just don't see how this new law is so much bigger than all the other BS that people just let slide by.

Smokers do not have a smoking bar option to go to now.
Before the option laid with the business owner, some were smoke free some weren't, now they have no option.

Pretty sure the bars I frequent won't follow the ban. They'd lose 95% of their customers. If you're not gonna let me smoke in/around your bar, I won't come to your bar. Simple
This...other than mine is 70%

Complacency. You have been won over. Just lay down and let the laws hold you as you go to bed.

this is about businesses making that choice on their own property
It's a public health issue. Honestly it shouldn't be their choice

So the only place I know of in Louisiana where I previously could gamble smoke free was not in America. Interesting.

Lose one smoker, gain five non-smokers. You people don't realize how many people DONT go to bars because of the smoke.

I'm going to go ahead and call BS on this.
If every bar in the state was non-smoking, are you telling me you wouldn't go to a single bar? Or that you would drive across the LA border to go to a bar?
I get that if there were smoking bars and non-smoking bars, you would choose the former over the latter. But if the choices were a non-smoking bar and no bar at all, you'd pick the former.

i feel sorry for people who live near bars like Snake & Jakes. 90% of the patrons will now be hanging out in your streets.

not to choose a bar where they can smoke inside

they don't have a choice of bars to smoke inside

they do. a bar where smoke is allowed inside or a bar that doesn't allow smoke inside

Don't try and manipulate the scenario.
i'm not. i'm talking about the issue: smoking inside of bars. that is the issue because that is what was outlawed
you're manipulating the scenario to compare apples to oranges in a "aw shucks see there is no real difference" move, when it's a logical failure and intellectual dishonesty. that's why i have to keep pointing it out

and in the vast majority of bars, that's the only place you can smoke (inside the bar)

LaToya Cantrell also held up a picture of Dorothy Mae Taylor at today's vote. That will be sure to rustle some jimmies here.
If she's so worried about health, she should find a big mirror, and take a look at herself.

A lot of NFL players have serious health issues resulting from the hits they take. Should they not have an option to play?

I have a hard time believing this will be enforced at Snake N Jakes, Maes and La Bon Temps at 5am.

I had a personal impact of having Alcohol Sales allowed in Walker on Sundays.
How many laws have you tried to change?
