Democrats have put forward three separate resolutions to separately fund TSA while the shutdown is going on, but Republicans have blocked all of them.
They know keeping TSA funding tied to ICE funding causes the frustrations we see now. So they won’t fund it so they can blame Democrats so they eventually cave. Seems like it’s working apparently.

I am flying out of MSY on Good Friday morning. My flight is at 9:40am.
I am really considering just getting dropped off at MSY late next Thursday night and just sleeping at my gate then going to Cafe du Monde when they open.

Not a bad idea, ive heard of worse plans .
For me, it’d depend on whether i was over about 35 yrs old, or under 35.. im over, and at my age , voluntarily trying to sleep on airport seats/floors , and/or basically pulling an all-nighter would be tough.. but yah, maybe it’s better than the alternative .
