New Mustang vs. 5 y/o Corvette: Which would you choose?

Mustang is an 8 cylinder and the Corvette has low mileage and in great condition.

My 53 YO BIL, just bought a Mustang GT with the Coyote Engine, it's a good looking car and scary fast. Cant hang with a Vette though

You keep telling yourself that as a Corvette passes you up as your driving your Honda Accord and your wife/girlfriend is thinking “I would love to give a guy a blowjob in that vette going 100+ Mph. I don’t have pics of the specific cars because I haven’t looked that deeply into it yet, but I think we’re all generally familiar with Mustangs and Corvettes.

. The interior on the C6 is garbage compared to the new Mustangs. If OP doesn't need a back seat and he's looking at a C7, then I'd lean Corvette. But the new Mustang is an 11 second car from the factory and handles really well when you add the Performance Pack. Easily pick a new Mustang over a C6.

Lots of snide comments here from people who can’t afford either car
Corvette with a manual transmission is my vote because I like the model more. You should also consider that the new Ford will depreciate immediately while the Vette has already gone through some of that.

The last few vette body styles have been REALLY good after a lot of years of ugly, so I’d probably take that. Especially if I could get a Z06 in great condition. I grew up around mustangs, I love they brought back the 5.0, i love how easily customizable they are, hell...i prefer everything about the mustang except that they are just butt ugly now

Neither. Either wait for mid engine corvette or buy a Jab Ftype which is the British vette.
