Both are good cars, best to go drive both and go with whichever one makes you happy. The main differences are fairly obvious and as mentioned earlier you will never use either to full potential on the street.

Apples and Oranges.

One is a muscle car for white trash. It competes with the Dodge Challenger and Chevy Camaro.

The other is a sports car for middle aged men experiencing a mid life crisis. It competes with Porsches and a bunch of other German and British douchebag mobiles.

Of course I would get the Corvette.

If you don’t live in a trailer, are experiencing a mid life crisis, and are delusional enough to think Ford knows their way around an automobile...the $70,000 Raptor pickup is what the blue oval is aiming towards you. Not the Mustang.

This is probably the most ignorant post in this thread, and that's quite the accomplishment.

Corvette unless you live in a trailer park.

100% true.

Every one of them thinks their car is some kind of performance machine.

Mustang owners as children:

If you're gonna buy a mustang or a corvette you should definitely go vintage.

If it’s a C7, the Vette all day long.
I had a ‘15 Vette a few years ago and bought my kid a ‘17 Mustang GT. The difference in horsepower was only around 25 hp, but the difference in power was enormous. No comparison. The Vette is in a different class compared to the Mustang.

Mustang is an 8 cylinder and the Corvette has low mileage and in great condition.

Which one depreciates its arse off over the next 5 yrs?

Lots of people with no clue what they are talking about in here. The 18 and 19 mustangs have the 10 speed option and the newest generation coyote. A gt in stock form is quick as hell. We bought my wife one and shortly thereafter decided to fix it up a bit. Added a Roush supercharger and some other stuff. It made right at 700hp to the wheels and has a lot left in it when the warranty is out. It has all the bells and whistles and she loves driving it. In its normal mode its tame and makes in the high 20s on the highway. Put it in sport mode and it turns into a "performance machine" like someone previously joked about. Its fun for her with its lane keeping and adaptive cruise...nice audio etc and fun for me to play around it. Its a third vehicle...a toy. Great bang for the buck.

This. Only a fool would think the two are in the same league.

Camaro vs Mustang would be a better discussion.
