Interesting that they are keeping the tunnel too.

In Louisiana, you could go ahead and add 5 years to that.

More like add infinity years. I don’t think this state is capable of executing such a project ever again.

$7.70? Yeah I'll take the tunnel.
That was always a major checkpoint that was the halfway point to the beach.

On way to the beach, I'll pay $7.70.

They won't even finish pressure-washing the State Capitol building in BR by 2031.

It's NOT the interstate. I-10 (the tunnel) will stil be available for use.

A state can only toll an addition to an existing interstate, they cannot toll what is already there nor remove an existing interstate and toll the replacement.

This would be an express way right? If it saves even 15 minutes of vacation time it’s worth it.

The I10 stretch between Slidell and Pensacola is more packed than ever. It rarely opens up to allow for making up time. It’s gotten to be a pretty frustrating drive.

Could there possibly be some sort of avenue in which the citizens of

Louisiana could possibly go outside of the government and privately

construct (build) a newer bridge across the Mississippi river next to the

present 'new' bridge in Baton Rouge ?

This process would bypass (go around and ignore ) government entities in

order to quickly build this sorely needed bridge as a private company that

is paid for by the people and not allowed for government usage.

I'm not advocating for a seditious act but it appears that the state

government is purposely ignoring the needs of its' Citizens.

Because it's the only convenient way to cross the Mobile River currently?

You have never been stuck in the tunnel. They need to 3 lane 10 all the way to Pensacola for this to be efficient.

That's pretty common pricing for bridge crossings

Beach trips are far more pleasant early october

But has an interstate bypass that isn't tolled. Which is why they can toll the new bridge.

There will be 3 new lanes only going East with no entrance or exit until you hit the Florida Stateline. DeSantis is paying for it. The signs will say Mobile - Gateway to Florida.

What the hell is there to see in Baldwin County anyways?
