Man, them night geckos eating bugs off the window.
That didn’t actually exist 30 years ago. I’m positive.

Nah, but seriously though... That laser sight on Gabriel Cash’s revolver in the great cinematic thriller Tango and Cash is ridiculous.

Joe Biden thought he was Vice President when the Stoneman Douglas School shooting happened and even stated that the students met with him at the Whitehouse

I mean, is anyone ever going to argue otherwise?

I don't recall seeing them when I was younger but I see them around my house all the time now. Particularly in just the way you describe, on the window screen at night eating bugs.

Geckos are a transport from Asia. That's why we didn't see them when we were growing up. Geckos started appearing at my home in Prairieville about 25 years ago. They mostly eat buck moths. When the geckos got numerous the stinging black caterpillars started disappearing. I haven't seen one in several years. Now the gecko numbers are dwindling so I expect the caterpillars (and moths) will make a comeback.

One thing I have noticed is the green house lizards (Green Anoles) the ones that can turn brown. Are being replaced by a stripped Anole.

I think I started this thread while sleep walking.

Well considering they aren't native to the US, it might be true. They first appeared in Key West around 1915 but I can't find any info on when they made their way to LA. I remember them when I was a kid and I'm 40 so I think 30yrs ago is wrong but we didn't have nearly as many back then.

These beautiful pink geckos are from Mediterranean countries. They were introduced to the US around 1945.
I can't recall seeing them when I was little and I'm quite sure they didn't become common around every South Louisiana house until the 90s.

Mediterranean geckos are not found naturally in any part of the United States. As the common name implies, these creatures are native to the Mediterranean regions of Europe. The first geckos to enter Louisiana probably came by cargo ships that unloaded at the port of New Orleans. Their entry is speculated to have occurred around 1945
