That and I-14 from central Texas to Alexandria, natchez and beyond. But it will never happen in Louisiana. It makes too much sense. You would think they would have completed i49 between Lafayette and New Orleans though. And there is still a few mile stretch of i49 that is unfinished in Shreveport. What a mess.

License plate readers. They can run a program to see who is running drugs, plus other obvious things. Say a person goes to a known pickup area in Houston frequently, then runs to New Orleans or Atlanta and runs right back. They can pinpoint them follow then follow them for the inevitable violation and traffic stop.

They can also be used to check for no insurance violators.

I believe Lafourche Parish SO has some. They can also use it for Amber Alerts if a suspect vehicle is on that road.

Yep. It says a lot about lack of transportation care in the state when it only has one North/South interstate...and it's only part-finished at that.

And no, that little tit of 55 doesn't count.

.

They have a pair at th e Des Allemands bridge. If you are a Eastbound look in between the two spans as soon you hit the span.

They are on the West side of the bridge. They read every vehicle entering or leaving Lafourche and St Charles Parish on Hwy 90.

Pretty sure I saw some new cameras getting off the I10 Atchafalaya basin bridge too, at least eastbound.

They have them in multiple locations.

There are even some on the Bourg Larose Highway (one on each end). There are some in Matthews on LA 1 and 308.

There are a lot of states with one or less north/south Interstates.

Also turn off or leave your cell phone in place where it you can have an alibi.

And don’t do weird Google searches for criminal activity.

Also, when arrested, show some compassion, rage, or any other feelings. That can sway a juror or 2 in your favor.

I watched 48 Hours after the LSU game last week, The Corn Rake Murder. A Husband was found guilty of killing his cheating wife.

I always heard those smoky clear plastic tag covers are most often used for this purpose. Something about there being a glare over the plate/cover caused by the cover.

All these cameras for "your" safety should really concern you if you truly believe in Liberty. These things are never used for what government says it is for. Now government can track your every move....you are no longer a citizen, you are a subject.

We should get a mob and tear them down. We have too many cameras in this country controlled by LE

When I am running square grouper to the interior of the country, I open the tailgate, then lay a sheet of plywood in the bed. This keeps my license plate private.

Hate to spoil the big brother is watching conspiracy, but they are for tracking semi truck traffic passing through the state, and include weigh in motion sensors in the road bed, notice the 6 light colored circles On the pavement connecting to equipment on each side of the road.

Yeah, keep believing that, sucker.

That part is to weigh cars so they can tell who is carrying tremendous amounts of cash. Civil asset forfeiture is profitable, Baw.
