New Bridge coming into BR is down to one lane - Construction

Why in the world?
They’re repairing a whole lane and have it all shut down except for one lane going up to the bridge.
Needless to say traffic backed up for miles already and considering they’re removing the actual pavement, it doesn’t seem to be ending soon.

Imagine what would happen if a tanker flipped in the Washington st curve and exploded.
I-10 east shut down from the Mississippi West

From The Advocate:
Lane closings are planned near the Mississippi River Bridge and where Interstate 10 is being widened between Highland Road and La. 73 in suburban Ascension Parish, officials announced Friday morning.
Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, work will begin on the bridge at the eastbound approach near the Port Allen exit in West Baton Rouge Parish.
The project is to repair the failing approach to the bridge on the west bank and will require a lane to be closed during the work.
The eastbound lane closure will affect the outside lane from 7 p.m. on Friday through noon on Sunday.

Best way around? I would imagine 190 is a cluster by now as well...

Sometime after we got the old one

Take the Ferry. It’s probably a bit out the way for most but it’s better than sitting in BR teaffic.

I recommend the "Old Bridge" for I-10 and the "Old Old Bridge" for US-190.
This new bridge you speak of turned 50 a couple months ago.

Go up to the Hwy10 bridge into St Francisville. I’ve heard that bridge never has any traffic what so ever. Might be worth the extra miles

Clearly you’re not able to to be trusted with the automotive routing.
