Anonymous is on the case.

@LatestAnonNews
The FCC has voted to remove your freedom to information. That said, this will not go unpunished.
Anonymous ensures that @AjitPaiFCC, @brendancarrfcc, and @mikeofcc who voted to repeal #NetNeutrality, understand the mistake of taking away our freedom.
Expect us.

So you're telling me that fricking ATT, Verizon, Sprint, Comcast, Cox, etc are going to go out of their way to stop some Joe Blow from putting a Snake clone on the app store
I love the way fear mongering works.

No. But they'll damn sure make that Joe Blow's app never gets big enough to threaten their app

You miss the sea change that will occur.
Or you work for Cox.

just can’t imagine this is going to be the death knell of the internet like some people say it is.
It severely limits the development of the next Facebook, Reddit, TigerDroppings, etc.
Why would you try out something new when your data outside of the bundle is already so precious?
This repeal is unequivocally good for one group and one group only - ISPs.

There will be no competition.
BS. Let me give you two great examples.
There is a guy in Shreveport and one in Lake Charles that each started a WSIP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) They are killing it with demand because people are tired of the large companies and also because they offer great packages. There will always be competition in an open market if there is money to be made.

I'm certain the FTC will have something to say about that.....that falls outside of what is currently under scrutiny by the courts on that front in my opinion.

How did they manage to do that with the heavy handed regulation put in place the past few years?

There is a reason that over 90% of the Apps on everybodies smart phone is by an American company.
Because everyone and every company offering a product or content has equal access and use of the internet in the same playing field.
I mean, most of the world adhere's to net neutrality, so this argument makes no sense. The reason most of our apps are American made is because America has the best software engineers in the world.

If this is the case why have players like Google, Amazon, Netflix, etc disappeared from this argument over the last year+?

Wait, so what happened to the national media being #fakenews?

I’m having a hard time understanding why this bad.
I view this like electric companies. Texas is deregulated and the competition for your business is good.

Not 100% sure.
They guy in Shreveport has been at it for a while IIRC
The one in Lake Charles is about a year old and I know the demand is greater than he can offer support for right now.

decades of corporatism between local governments and ISPs set up the infrastructure we have today and one of the few saving graces was that at least internet data was all treated equally
NOW the "but muh small gov't" people think repealing net neutrality will somehow create this free market
The fact that 85% of the country wants net neutrality apparently doesn't matter

People reading talking points off of social media and have no clue what it takes to literally get td.com to load on your phone/computing device.

Wanna post on here but Tigerdroppings isn't a part of your internet package? Tough shite...unless you wanna upgrade to the next tier for an extra $10 a month, of course.
