Even if you don't understand net neutrality, the fact that ATT, Verizon, Comcast, Cox, etc. are all against it should be reason enough to be for it.

still don't understand what all this will mean.

In a nutshell, it means that your internet provider now has the ability to control your internet performance depending on the site you're visiting.

ETA - To be clear, that is what this repeal now allows. Before the appeal, all sites were treated equally.

I don’t get it. Didn’t Net Neutrality just get established in 2015? Has that much changed in 2 years?

at you if you believe its about freedom. Those votes were bought and paid for. But you're a hack that's incapable of looking past party lines on any issue

With the number of people ditching cable for streaming only, yes.

This is oversimplifying it greatly. As a business owner, I want the Gov involved as little as possible in the way I operate.

So how soon can I expect the big companies to roll out tiered pricing? I know the internet has already created their ad graphics and such.

I just can’t imagine this is going to be the death knell of the internet like some people say it is.

In 2014, the courts ruled that the FTC did not have the authority to regulate non-common carrier services of common carriers. That case is currently still in dispute.

So when the FTC tried to impose penalties from 2010, they were told they no longer had the authority, and that is still in dispute.

Me either, but as someone who cut the cord a while ago, it's concerning.
