Well allow me to throw my own straw man.
Our government at some level wanted and supported all of those things.....most, if not all, of which killed multiple Americans.
However, we are all OK with our government running the internet....Amazing!

Operation Paperclip.
MK-Ultra.
Gulf of Tonkin Incident.
Shah of Iran(CIA).
COINTELPRO.
Operation Fast & Furious.
Human Plutonium Injection Experiments.
Intentional Poisoning of Alcohol During Prohibition

Google "With "Ajit Pai" surely making headlines today, it'd be a shame if this became the number one image search result."
And it's the first result. Probably NSFW.

Lol. Yeah, the CIA and FBI doing fricked up things around the world is identical to creating regulations that promote technological innovation.
There's a reason a company like Netflix didn't care about it anymore once they got big enough where they can afford to pay for the fast lane...
They don't want competition.
There only reason they reversed their stance publicly, is their customers got mad as hell and cancelled subscriptions.

Wait people cancelled their Netflix subscriptions when Netflix stopped supporting NN? I'd like to see where they reversed their stance publicly back to supporting NN because it was a huge deal when their CEO said NN wasn't a big deal.
FWIW, A quick google search tells me that Netflix stock has enjoyed a fairly steady climb through 2017.....these cancellations must not have been widespread.
ETA To expand on this...let's examine Amazon. Back in 2015 they had the pop up pages supporting NN....now nothing. It's the holiday season so I'm sure other people here have shopped Amazon and seen nothing. I know I have.
Let's examine Google....Not so much as a grunt from Alphabet on NN in the last 18 months.
Let's examine the group that have shilled for NN...Anonymous and PornHub...real support there.

I thought this was ONE thing that wouldn’t be politicized. The tribe mentality is ridiculous. Just because something was passed during the other “tribes” administration doesn’t mean it automatically has to go.
You clearly don’t understand the value in Owning The Libs

1.) they aren’t running the internet, especially not through net neutrality.
2.) Do you recognize the absurdity of the logical hole this takes you down? Do you wish to do away with regulations on structural soundness of public bridges and overpasses? Or do you, like I suspect, only apply that logic haphazardly?

Who makes up the arbitrary NN/Title II rules? It's not some wonderful internet community in case you were wondering.

I recognize that internet service and it's quality are inherently, actually, and fundamentally very very very different from bridges and overpasses.
ETA Consider this...in 20 year since we have NN, no wireless innovation has occurred, BUT by some stroke of luck 95% of the nation has access to fiber lines. The US Government via title II rules had this wonderful idea that every company should share the fiber lines....sound great right. Well the ISPs are still greasing the pockets of congressmen and the FCC alike so the states pass rules that basically restrict certain segments of every city that can only get internet service from a single internet provider even though physically and technically every house could get every providers data to their door. This allows the ISPs to be insulated from price increase and cements the government sponsored monoply at the highest level.
After today though that won't be possible

Except MIT Technological Review Magazine...

If they force companies to pay a fast lane, it will prevent start ups from entering the marketplace. In sure I can find plenty of other places that say the same. But I think MIT is pretty knowledgeable about technology.

To be factual that is an opined article from the MIT Technological Review Magazine....you know what they say about opinions right?
I've yet to be convince that "start ups" would be forced to pay the fast lane fee. I mean you couldn't charge a start up as much as you could Netflix or Facebook anyway. Why wouldn't you see if the start up could make it and then when it become financially lucrative for you engage in talks of fast lanes.
That seems to make more business sense....but that might be too progressive for some folks on here it seems.

More big government trying to screw the little man contractor. We all know codes and specs are just liberal propaganda. ICC is just the International Cuck Council.

Poliboard has always been a shitshow. Trumpkins are for anything that pisses off anybody not a trumpkin even though we are all in this together as consumers.
