My buddy is finishing up his second house in the Settlement at Willow Grove. Nice neighborhood in a great location but damn $220 a foot with almost no yard doesn't appeal to me any more.

Oakbrook is the nicest in that area but very rare to find a house come up in there. Few people even realize that neighborhood is even there, but it's a gem.

That area is a traffic nightmare which is a huge factor for me.

Yards are tiny. And the houses are total cookie cutter. We looked there and bought the same age construction on a bigger lot in Oak Hills.

But it's nice. I see houses for sale all the time cutting through.

No. Oakbrook lots are 1-5 acres. You're thinking of oakcreek

It's esp ridiculous when you consider all the nice black neighborhoods everywhere

I didn't specifically limit "those we don't speak of" to one specific race.

We bought two years ago and it seems like there were more houses in the neighborhood for sale at that point. We had to pay full price for ours on an offer made the same day it went up for sale. There were 4-5 other showings that same day. We were focused on those 2 neighborhoods off highland but ended up here. We may put ours up if we decide to go to Houston or back to ATL. It really is a great location.

Saw a house just got listed one that 3rd street over. How is that neighborhood behind those houses? Iberville terrace I think. Older houses but doesn't seem like they'd be bad neighbors.
