Man, you guys are just running your mouths without thinking. We can’t have unelected high school educated cops deciding which laws they want to enforce. There are processes for making laws and processes for enforcing them. These must be kept separate.

If in Quebec there is a law, or edict having the force of law, that prevents homeowners from entertaining, then the police should enforce it. Lazy citizens should not depend on extra-democratic power plays to make up for their disinterest in voting. Once down that road you have authoritarianism in which the police are the ultimate power.
