Two pts here:
1....Good dog owners properly fence or leash their dogs.
2....The dipstick who shot the dog....really man, a little over the top don't you think.

Keep the dog on a leash.

Doubt it - dog off the g/f's property. Definitely not if there are strict leash laws. I think pets are still viewed as property so you couldn't get that much anyway.

Id like to know the outcome and what punishment the man received. Was he arrested?

Wow this shite pisses me off to no end, dogs wander all over my neighborhood, and neighbors are friendly and know each others pets, this a-hole just wanted to kill your dog. GET REVENGE.

Fine ,but dogs can escape from om time to time.
When someone shoots his dog " when" not if it escapes...........

I wouldn't go straight to shooting a dog, but if my kid was in his own yard and a dog comes up acting aggressively, I wouldn't exactly be happy.
The issue I have with this entire situation is how aggressive does a dog have to be acting that I'll risk discharging a firearm near my child.

I'm not saying I'd have shot the dog, but if he's in my yard and poses a threat to my kids, I have no opposition to it
Sorry, but this.
