I had a rat and mouse problem in the detached garage, then got a cat and haven't seen a rat or mouse since.
keeps the squirrels out too. I'm not a cat person, and I don't want a litter box. If someone wants to catch him and kill him (he's fixed and doesn't really roam) that's fine, but if I find out who.....

Yea they don't have a litter box. Cat is getting old so she wants to go in and out all day. They crack the garage door if not home and it goes in there. Problem is if it rains a lot in early spring we always get a damn snake come in there

Friend of mine used to live in the house behind Chelseas under the Perkins Overpass and had a black lab named Ruby. She would get out and eat at the back of the restaurants. Stopped in one day and she walked back swollen up like she had swallowed a watermelon with a red napkin tied around her neck from the Diguilios kitchen help. I thought it was pretty funny.

This is what I don't understand about cat people. They bitch and moan about people killing cats and how cruel it is, but then give two shits about what the little murder machine bastard that kills everything it can in the area. Hell just look at the coyote vid comments in this thread where cat owners were being dipshits and moaning about a coyote killing a cat like the home owner had the coyote as a pet because of joke video title. If you have a cat, you are responsible for tons more animal murder than anyone killing cats.
Keep your animals on your property. Dog owners face the same threat of people killing dogs if they get loose on someone's property, you should expect the same.

I keep my labs in my yard or on a leash. If the cat comes in the yard and they get to it, too bad. They do understand the command "kill the kitty".

I have nuisance cats that people are feeding, but more or less live on my property. Is trapping them and hauling them to a shelter or somewhere else wrong? What is the alternative? I called animal control, they are worthless organization.

who puts their cat out hoping a person will feed it?
when I had one I'd let her out in the day b/c she would chase off/kill squirrels, rats, mice, and possums that would get into the trash cans in the back ally.
