Dictate

Do not be dictated to

Sounds like all the positives of your wave are incredibly needed in your neighborhood.

Wave away, car-car, car-you, you-you

Anywhere that is not inside of “city limits” is considered the country. There are plenty of neighborhoods that aren’t inside city limits. My grandpa lives in one.

I live in a waving neighborhood. My previous neighborhood was more in town and wasn't one.

I like the wave area. We have an old guy who might be 90 who waves at everyone coming and going when he walks his dog on the main road. I'll miss that guy.

The little kids you pass- they just stare at you like you're the idiot. I have quit waving at them. Little buttholes.

frick 'em. Wave because you're feeling friendly, not because you are wanting a wave in return.

I wave. All of my neighborhood waves. Its a nice thing to see. When we bought here, our first trip through, everyone waved. Made me want to live there. I like it.

I was raised right. I wave when I'm outside, say hello when eyes meet, wave when passing on the street and recognize vehicles whether i know the person or not. Sir,Mam,etc
The smallest thing could make a person feel just a lil better sometimes

It's fun when somebody waves at you and you wave back but they're really waving at somebody behind you.

I wave at everyone when I'm walking around the neighborhood. Partly to be friendly, partly to make them aware that people sometimes have to walk on the road and to be aware. I figure it gets me another 0.76% chance that they won't hit me.

EDIT: The kids waiting for the bus try to ignore me, but I make it a point to say hello and good morning.

I grew up waving and acknowledging your neighbors

Tell one of the attractive female neighbor's that you want to check her oil. It's a friendly gesture, and it garners a reaction.

It also lets anyone who may be coming in to case the neighborhood know that someone saw and noticed them

I once waved at some people on the side of the road on a YouTube POV cycling video I was watching while on a stair master/glider type machine out of habit.

So, yeah...I'd likely still wave.

I'm an extrovert. I talk to everyone. Elevators seem to be hell for introverts from what I can tell.

I smile and acknowledge people. It's rude not to.

I wave, wife doesn’t generally.
Just a brief hand up or the steering wheel hand wave.
