need new brakes and possibly rotors as well - where to go in BR?

got about 90K miles on my ride and starting to hear some bad grinding noises when hitting the brakes
where should I go in BR? How much am I going to have to pay?

Probably going to cost a lot more now that you will need rotors also. You should have told your husband when you first started hearing the squealers.

Rockauto.com if you have time to wait for shipping, Napa Auto Parts if you don’t. Set of rotors and pads will run you close to a hunna if you go the Napa route.
It’s real easy to do in your driveway or garage, just look up YouTube videos. Make sure and grease the shims on your calipers.

Anywhere you park it, the tires and wheels will disappear. Not sure about the rotors and brakes.

Without looking up specifics, for all 4 wheels, I'd estimate about $300 in parts. Maybe cheaper if you order online, if you can wait for delivery. Do it yourself, and add on the cost of a couple beers and a couple hours of your time. Take it to a shop and you're probably looking in the range of $500 min for all 4 wheels.

Attempt to disassemble before you get new parts if you have another ride available... because you never know what tool you might need and don't have. On a Chevy it might be a t45 hex socket or something and not a regular socket on the two caliper bolts. Also, don't forget a decent 5 inch C clamp.

Just make sure you buy brake cleaner and extra brake grease. I've always found the packet in the brake pad boxes doesn't give you enough

Do it yourself. It's remarkably easy to do and you will do at least as good a job as anyone. If you need a special tool to retract the rear brakes (you probably will) then Autozone loans the tool that you need. And get a breaker bar if you don't already have one.
