Why would you buy a new car or truck that had a "shite" "factory paint job?"

You coat a new car...and it does what again? We're getting a new vehicle in a couple of weeks, I'm curious.

The car I got coated wasn't new, but as others have said the do paint correction first and remove swirl marks and other imperfections. It makes the paint in my 11 cts-v look brand new

This is the answer. Andrew will have your vehicle looking better than you thought it could.

Modesta is amazing. It will keep your paint job pristine. You don't get the marring and micro abrasions that you would typically get from driving a vehicle. Or, from washing a vehicle for that matter.

most cars come with not that great paint if you look at it really closely. here is a vid of a $250k porsche straight out of the plastic. Since the manufactures went to environmentally friendly paint a few yeas ago, cars chip easier than ever, almost all have orange peel somewhere and have thin spots etc.

I had Rory correct and coat my son's black accord. the rain literally washes it. it stays so much cleaner. about 10 months in and water still just runs off.

There are a few places in BR that do it. I had my wife's car done by Geaux Preaux. It's not magic, but it does make cleaning much faster, and you can dry your car with a leaf blower. And no waxing. I'd give it an A- overall.

Dypnitiq in BR also uses ceramic pro. There are some other high end shops in BR that use other brands like Modesta, but they are $$$.

Mine is the same. I would think ceramic coating is a must on a black car. It it one of my favorite things I have done to this car. And yes you can get it in a work truck too, it will keep it up that much more. I have been thinking about doing it to my truck too just because it is always outside or parked at a refinery, I just don't want to dip into my play money for the cts-v.

'17 Accord( OT non-baller). It was about $650 total with minimal paint correction(polishing) done before the actual coating install.

650 really isn't that bad with paint correction. Maybe a little skeptical on price and the quality.

Put it this way ceramic is a longer version of waxing. It adds a layer of protection to the paint that doesn't last forever. It lasts longer than a typical wax but it won't last forever (I've seen accounts of 10-18 months). Waxes are usually half that from what I've researched. If you're paying someone to wax your car then maybe the price of ceramic is worth it due to having to have the car waxed more frequently than ceramic coated.

If your washing your car with minimal damage, able to clay, and able to wax then I wouldn't pay for ceramic.

Look up Corvettes and orange peel.
