Search Paul Strohmeyer. They have a lot of info on where they have been searching. Looks like they are searching in the St. George park area. River Forrest and village subdivisions.

Not saying it couldn't be ice, but is it cold enough for that?
Yea. Had a box truck turned sideways blocking all lanes. I hit a few patches of ice once we got moving again. They got us moving around 5:30

This is on the outer edge of New Orleans, but I'm sure someone screwed up out that way too.
I-310 south bound
Posted by LaplassTiger on 12/9/17 at 4:06 am
Anyone heading this way, south bound is at a dead stop just south of the airline exit. The airline exit was closed when I passed. North bound seems to be open, but there is probably a lot of ice on the bridge. Anyone else stuck in this?

had Rory correct and coat my son's black accord. the rain literally washes it. it stays so much cleaner. about 10 months in and water still just runs off.
Mine is the same. I would think ceramic coating is a must on a black car. It it one of my favorite things I have done to this car. And yes you can get it in a work truck too, it will keep it up that much more. I have been thinking about doing it to my truck too just because it is always outside or parked at a refinery, I just don't want to dip into my play money for the cts-v.

You coat a new car...and it does what again? We're getting a new vehicle in a couple of weeks, I'm curious.
The car I got coated wasn't new, but as others have said the do paint correction first and remove swirl marks and other imperfections. It makes the paint in my 11 cts-v look brand new

I got my car coated at proven automotive concepts in Metairie. I couldn't be happier with the results. If you ask on the card and coffee New Orleans fb page he is highly recommended.
re: At what point is a clear car wrap worth it?
Posted by LaplassTiger on 7/18/17 at 10:17 am to MaHittaMaHitta
Think of ceramic coating as a thick wax that can last 5 years. It will make keeping the car clean a lot easier and protect against small damages. The clear wrap protects against a lot more road debris and if you get a quality wrap you won't have to change it every few years. You can also do individual panels of the car or the front cap if you travel a lot, just don't let anyone tell you that you can do half a hood and you won't be able to see the line where it stops. If you go to a good shop you shouldn't be able to tell that the car is wrapped. Also, the ceramic coating shouldn't be 2k for a sports car. My friend was quoted $1200 for 5 year with paint correction and wheels coated on a crew crab full size truck.

I get the same problem when trying to fast forward through commercials. It seems to only happen at night. If I watch shows during the day I haven't had any problems skipping through.

My dobe is 3 and we switched him to the same food about a year and a half ago and have been pleased with it. We feed him 2 cups in the morning and 2 at night. Same thing, he gets his food when he gets it, not all day, but he is food driven so he wouldn't leave it out long at all. He is tall too, and has been holding his weight right around 90 lbs. I try taking him to the dog park a few times a week but all of this rain has been killing that. What park do y'all go to?

I use the same food for my doberman. Mine is extremely food motivated, and will finish his bowl in under 5 minutes. He is also the same way with wet grass in the morning. He will pee on the back porch if we dont catch him, but he has only shite on it a handful of times when he was younger. He musters up the courage to get his paws wet and shits in the grass just off the porch.

You made the right choice. Just got home and I hit some patches of wind and rain that had me nervous driving through. Hope it passes quickly

6 speed cts-v. Have also owned a 6 speed Camaro SS and a few manual transmission accords. I was about to settle on an auto cts-v when I found the 6 speed, so glad I did.
re: Any plants hiring operators???
Posted by LaplassTiger on 3/9/17 at 2:47 pm to dualed
It would be worth it. You hear of a lot more jobs at the school with everyone talking about them. Also like someone else said, you will get opportunities for internships that they offer to Ptec students that usually lead to full time jobs. I know Shell norco says that their internship won't lead to a full-time spot, but they have hired from them in the past. I also started at my first plant as an intern. They came to the school and asked for 20 or so students to interview. The head guy that used to work at that plant put me on the list, I got the spot, and a few months later I was a full-time operator. The connections alone are worth going to the school. I was also working full-time at another job outside of the industry while going to school, so it can be done with night classes. I transferred over all of the academic courses and just had to knock out the process courses.
re: Any plants hiring operators???

I know the PTEC seems like a waste of time but it will really help you. In my hiring class, the only people without PTEC or operations experience were military. Most of the teachers in reserve are old industry guys and if you let them know up front you work shift work they will be ok with you missing a class here and there. We also hired on a few guys from SGS, so working with them or Savage or any other operation contractor does help. The plant will still train you how they want you to work and the equipment at the school is a joke compared to in the plant, but they still want to know you don't have to be reminded to breathe.
