I had to input it into my adding machine to make sure I wasn't the one who was crazy. 20 years? That's like marrying the truck.

The '19 models are the worst looking trucks

At 53, I am looking for a truck for the first time in my life. The 2019 Sierra/Silverado is the first truck that I think is "good looking".

New trucks are way too big. I don’t want to drive something that’s a pain in the arse to park everyday or that can barely fit in a parking garage

Sierra's are for grandpa's. Look to see who's driving them on the road next time your out and about and i guarantee more than half will be old guys. Why else would they market that stupid arse tailgate?

2018 1500 ecodiesel here. gas mileage is awesome, ram boxes are great, and the Laramie interior has never not gotten a compliment from my many Dodge hating friends. I used to make fun of Dodge too. This ain't your daddy's dodge.

Took a bit of getting used to but I like them now. The only version I don't care for is the Silverado's without the bowtie, but rather Chevrolet spelled out in the grill.

And it's still a dodge. A fiat/dodge, but still a dodge.

I had to have a vehicle that got a 27mpg to get an allowance through work.
Ram and Ford's Ecodiesels were the only trucks that fit that criteria.
The Lariat was a good $6-8k more than the Laramie.

I been hearing that Dodge is going to push the ecodiesel much more in 2020 or 2021, and may only offer the ecodiesel and the V8 Hemi. The ecodiesels have been pretty reliable engines since they came out in 2015.

My buddy that owns a Ford dealership said Ford doesn't care about the ecodiesel, and only has it b/c it helped them get some tax break or something. I do'nt remember what he said specifically, something about if they made 10% of their trucks ecodiesels, there was something beneficial for them financially.

has the DEF and/or higher maintenance costs been worth it? They pretty much ruined me on diesels with all the emissions shite they hang on them.

but I do miss the torque/towing ability.

I have 20k miles on it. I got 5 oil changes with my purchase, so i haven't paid for anything yet, well, I'm sure i paid for them, just not when i go to get it serviced.
I've filled the DEF twice now, and it cost $15-20 to fill it up.

I think the oil change costs about $130, mainly b/c it's 11qts fully synthetic oil, and you're supposed to let it drain for about an hour, so the dealership maintenance guy says. I haven't had to do anything to the fuel filter or anything else yet.

Look at GM dealers' loan terms. They are offering up to 240 months. Granted, not every person or vehicle will qualify, but they are putting it out there.

you are full of crap. You cant get a 240 month loan from GM Financial...72 months is the longest term.
