Ford is really put a good truck out recently

Recently? The F150 is basically unchanged since 2012/13.

Ram is a better overall truck than the GM right now. Only good thing about the GM is the 6.2 V8 and the tailgate. Interior is comically bad for the asking price same for F150.

If I'm writing an $80k check for a truck, it's simple.

Easy decision..stay away from a dodge man..I would say a Ford or GMC. I sold vehicles for over ten years and Dodge consistently had the worst resale value of anything.

A lot of that can be attributed to brand loyalty. People are suckers and marketing schemes work on them. I have had every brand of truck, some twice. The truck that has given me the least problems is the ram. I put the truck through all types of different conditions. I got up north during the winter, I go out west during the summer and the 120 degree temperatures. There is nothing this truck can’t do. The best part is that there is no squeaky sound, nor is there a tear or crack in any part of the interior. The same can not be said of my previous fords or the Chevy or the gmc. Go ahead and purchase the ford if you want to be reminded of your truck being “ford tough” every few seconds while you watch tv. But if you want some that is reliable and built to do any job you put before it, get the ram.

That's a while lot of BS just to go get groceries and run Braxton to the ballpark. Should have just gotten an SUV and called it a day.

OP

The nee GMs are shite and have tons of problems especially the transmission. Between the strike and all the redesigns I wouldn't touch a GM product for awhile.

Frankly, of those two, I would get the Ram. Your repair bill is going to be "interesting" in a couple of years, so you might as well save money, now, right?

(And, at least before they get some miles on them, the Ram interior should be light years ahead of the GMC).

You're right, it is ... but I work for my money and get to choose how I want to spend it.

Well I guess reliability is the least of your concerns with those two options.

Styling and features go to the Ram. Ugliest design ever and engine reliabilty go to Sierra. Both have weak transmissions, so that is a wash. Ford Ecoboost sucks arse, with many engine replacements. Buy a Tundra, and be done with it for 10-12 years.

My cousin has the new 2019 Ram and it is the best looking truck I’ve ever seen.

Agree.

Unless I just had to have the 6.2, I'd be buying a Ram.

GM is losing more marketshare and customers to Ram everyday and there are reasons for that.

Wrong. Transmission has not been an issue with Ram since the 8 speed came out. Even the 545 and 645rfe that came before it was decent, that was 14 years ago.

Add Ford's "Park my truck" feature to that list as well. And GM's "invisible trailer"

It's also an example of how competitive the truck market has become. Manufacturers are doing anything and everything to differentiate themselves.

That's fantastic news for the consumer
