My old Samsonite is about done and I need a new carry on. This one lasted about 10 years, so I got my money's worth. What's a good brand? And is there anything I should look for? I only travel for work about 10x per year, so I don't really need something that will survive a nuclear attack. I've seen a lot more hard cases lately, so is that the way to go? Thanks.

I have a set of Victorinox luggage that I highly recommend. Very good quality.

Thanks. I never go to that board and actually forgot it was there. It's like the book board, it's there but I've been to it maybe a handful of times. Thanks again.

TravelPro is cheap and holds up decently. They have a better line that is pretty high quality, still affordable. My wife took one of their cheapest bags on a bunch of business and international trips and that bag held up fine. She beats the shite out of her stuff and I can't remember anything going wrong with it.

Briggs and Riley is the best all around in my humble opinion. Tumi is fine and high quality but Briggs is sort of the quiet understated workhorse to Tumi's tryhardness.

Their designs are not as business friendly, but Eagle Creek luggage is bombproof if you get the right stuff. I have pieces I want to replace because they're ugly but it's hard to justify because they're completely indestructible.

Hartmann used to be great but they're just living on the legacy at this point.

Tumi carry on had a few problems 4 years in and they basically replaced it at no cost to me.

This is after hitting status on two airlines each year.

Got the wife a rimowa, will see how that holds up but it damn sure looks good.

We were going to get Rimowas, as they're so light and smooth. But the frequent flyer forums and whatnot are so divided, with like 10% of people being fully in the cult and the other 90% saying absolutely stay away.
